Whether you’re into the fast-paced, strategic decisions of blackjack or the pure thrill of spinning the wheel of roulette, casino games are meant to engage your senses. They’re designed to be exciting with flashing lights, engaging sounds and a dynamic atmosphere. But if you’re not careful, you may lose your money more than you win it.
Having spent years working in the iGaming industry, Colm Phelan has a strong understanding of what makes a quality online casino experience. He believes that the key to winning at online casinos is self-control and setting win/loss limits. If you’re on a losing streak, it’s better to walk away than continue to gamble and risk significant losses. Casinos also offer a variety of perks, including loyalty and rewards programs that can be very beneficial to players.
In Casino, Martin Scorsese lays bare the intricate web of corruption that centered on Las Vegas in the 1970’s, with tendrils reaching into politicians, Teamsters unions, mob bosses and more. It’s a fascinating study of how the mafia lost control of a city that was minting billions in profits every year. The movie is based on the non-fiction book Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas by Nicholas Pileggi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scorsese.
The cast is fantastic, especially Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. They both give great performances that are very different from their previous work. De Niro is typically tough and basically honest for a mafia guy while Pesci gives an outstanding performance that is even better than his role in Goodfellas.
